Statistical Network Data Analysis 2018

On behalf of the German Statistical Society (DStatG) we organize a workshop on Statistical Network Data Analysis. The workshop will take place on September 20, 2018 at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in Munich (Germany).

Details

The workshop is part of the new "focused workshop series" of the DStatG that are meant to support and encourage young scholars, PostDocs and doctoral students doing research in selected fields of statistics. Besides scientific exchange, the workshop is intended to enhance networking among young scientists working in similar fields and should improve the transfer of cutting edge research within the society.

The first focused workshop is dedicated to the statistical analysis of network data, including graphical models and bayesian networks. The participants get the chance to present their research papers and work in progress in a talk. After the talk the presentations will be discussed. All in all, a research talk should last maximally up to 25 minutes, including discussion.

Professor Christoph Stadtfeld (ETH Zürich, Chair of Social Networks) will give a keynote speech on the state of the art in statistical network analysis and future challenges in the field.
